Hi. I use the latest version of Linux lite (5.0). I am a novice user. I installed kde plasma desktop environment. I did not like. I managed to uninstall it after a lot of effort but I cannot recover the original xfce home screen (kde follows). Could you guide me? Thank you.

I'm running the latest versions of LL on desktops and my laptop computers. I noticed last night my laptop is no longer showing the Internet icon in the lower right hand corner,and it cannot be found anywhere on the laptop screen?
It had been left to right in the lower right  of the screen: window1,window2 then internet icon, sound icon then time. Now the internet icon is missing.
I use this icon all the time as I turn off the WIFI on my laptop to save power when not in use. It also told me when I was connected and at what strength.
It was there two nights ago, now gone.
How can I get it back?
Looking under icons in appearance it is not shown nor listed. Changing my type of appearance light/dark,etc does not bring it back.
The other computers are showing the internet icon.

Hi,  I've had the new LTS 5.0 Linux-Lite since it came out. The below warning happens when I turn on the computer and go right to menus > install updates to see if there are any updates. BUT, a few minutes later, there will be a notice on the top right of my screen to install updates which fades out after a few seconds. After that notice, going to menu and checking for updates works. So, it looks like there are two, whatever you call them, looking for updates at the same time, and one bumps off the other. So how does that get fixed? *When I first installed the new installation, I typed in the terminal, "sudo apt-get update". Maybe that screwed something up at first.                                                                                                                                                                    Thanks, Karen

Newb here with a fresh install of linuxlite 5.0. After installation, I tried to update software but got the following errors. I hope someone is able to help and guide me in the right direction to fix this. Many thanks.

I was using LinuxLite5 on VirtualBox on Windows. I had made a copy of the Linux Lite using Export Appliance (OVA file). I tried using that OVA file and I was able to get the machine as required. Now the issue is, My Windows host was having some issue and got crashed. I had to reinstall the Windows OS by formatting my hard drive. After Windows installation, I again installed Virtualbox and tried to install LinuxLite using the OVA file I created but I'm unable to use it. I used Import appliance and able to add the VM but when i try to run it doesn't load completely and get stuck in a blank screen for long time. If I click on Ctrl+Alt+End then it shows failed to Load.... most of the things. And sometimes I get a black screen with [InitRAMFS] screen and nothing happens. I tried to use fsck commands by doing some google search but no luck.
Could any one please help on this. Thank you.

I haven't been able to record in Audacity, after the update to 5.0. It's not that important for me, I'm just interested to know, if the application works for you.

just installed Lite 5 and it's working perfectly, so happy with it. But maybe not so happy with myself I have a new TechlyI-Card Cam-USB2TY which for the life of me I can't install. I can't run the mini cd installation disc beyond putting the files into a folder and the driver from the website I do not know how to open.
Grateful for any help...
