Google chrome keeps asking for the password for the default keyring. I did edit the launcher and changed the command to /usr/bin/google-chrome-stable %U --password-store=basic
But it doesnt work. Did work without a problem on LL 4.8 and earlier.
Anyone got an idea what might be causing this and how to solve it?

Hi All,
Just installed 5.0. Nice upgrade. Question:
I have two users on my system, myself (created at install) and a second account created later. The second account works as it should but I've found a minor issue. When I go to the "About Me" section and try to change my login image/photo, it asks me for a password to proceed. I use the 2nd account's password but the system says its incorrect. I've tried several times and even logged out and back in with the same password used for "About Me." I then tried the password for the original account created at install. No go. I'm not sure what else to do. Caps Lock is off and I've typed the 2 passwords into text editor so I can see that they're correct and then copy and pasted them in. Still no go. Any ideas? BTW- Same thing happened on the first original account when changing "About Me" icon. I entered my password and it worked without a problem.
Thanks,
Chris

| Linux Lite 5.0 USB only shows "grub>" |

Hello. I just heard of LL and I'm excited to try it out ;D
I flashed the 5.0 ISO on my USB drive and rebooted my PC. When booting from the USB drive, all I get is a "grub>" command line. No loading screen or anything. I expect a live version to run, correct me if that's not what it should do.
I am on Win10; BIOS Mode = Legacy; PC is about 6 years old.
I tried using Etcher to flash the drive as recommended. It reported success but rendered the drive unreadable. I tried Linux-Live and Rufus which I typically use for other Linux distros. They flashed the drive successfully but then I got the grub thing.
How can I make LL run? Happy to provide additional information if needed.

Well I've just gone through the new web site and it is beautiful and impressively modernized. First class work. Congratulations on a wonderful upgrade to LL's web presence. I'm so excited about the new installer that I'm probably going to skip work for the next few days to test it out completely on several different hardware arrays including an older PXE install. At my age it is wonderful to see the energy and excitement at work in LL's development. I am extremely impressed, and words cannot really express how much. I hope this evolution of LL continues and you are rewarded for your effort both emotionally and monetarily. Thank you Jerry and all the team.

Dear people
I put linix lite 5.0 on my computer. I like it very much. I installed libreoffice base. But now when I get the existing database I get the following message.
The Thunderbird address file is doing well. What can I do about it? Below the error message.
The connection to the external data source cannot be established. No SDBC driver was found for the url 'sdbc: embedded: hsqldb
In version 4.8 it does.
Thanks in advance:
Sjaak
solved I installed the program sdbc: embedded: hsqldb via synaptic it now works fine.
Sincerely,
Sjaak
