Issue with drag and drop and searching

When you have a bunch of pics on your desktop, and you highlight all of them and try to drag them to a folder on the desktop.. IT JUST OPENS ALL PHOTOS IN ONE BIG BUNCH INSTEAD OF PUTTING THEM INTO THE FOLDER..
YOU NEED TO FIX THAT.
NEXT PAIN IN THE ASS..
WHEN YOU SEARCH FOR SOMETHING, AND YOU GET A SEARCH RESULTS WINDOW , WITH ITEMS IN IT.. YOU CANT DO ANYTHING WITH THEM !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU CANT COPY THEM, YOU CANT DELETE THEM, YOU CANT MOVE THEM...
WHAT THE HELL GOOD IS A SEARCH IF YOU CANT USE THE RESULTS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
THIRD PAIN IN THE ASS..
THE TASKBAR ICON TO AUDIO MIXER OPENS IT.. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN DO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU CANT CHANGE VOLUME LEVEL !!!!!!!!!!!! WHAT THE HELL GOOD IS IT IF YOU CANT CHANGE THE VOLUME LEVEL .. ITS A PIECE OF JUNK !!!!!!!!!!!!!! IT DOESNT WORK...
YOU KNOW.. IM JUST A USER.. BEEN USING LINUX FOR 20 YEARS.. BUT IVE FOUND MORE SCREWUPS IN A WEEK OF USING THIS THAN YOUR SO CALLED EXPERTS HAVE SINCE ITS RELEASE...
PERSONALLY.. I THINK LINUX LITE IS THE MOST SUPERB LINUX AVAILABLE.. IVE USED THEM ALL.. I KEEP UP ON NEW DISTROS..
MOST OF THEM ARE JUNK BECUASE THEY WERE JUNK TO START WITH.. SOME OF THEM ARE EXCECPTIONAL.. WELL DONE.. BUT THEIR THE SAME OLD THING ALL THE TIME..JUST NEW BUGGY REHASH OF THE ONE THEY DIDNT FIX BEFORE..
TELL ME..JUST HOW SMART IS IT TO KEEP ROLLING OUT NEW DISTROS WHEN EVERY ONE YOUVE RELEASED BEFORE IS BUGGY AS HELL... RIGHT...UH HUH.... DUMP AS DIRT..THATS WHAT...
WHAT I SEE IN LINUX LITE IS INTELLIGENCE... SMARTS.. ITS DOING SOME THINGS DIFFERENTLY...BETTER.. IT SURPASSES EVEN LINUX MINT.. AND LDME .. LDME 2 WAS THE PINNACLE OF GREAT LINUX.. THEN THEY SCREWED IT UP WITH LDME 3.. TOTAL PIECE OF BUGGY JUNK...
WHY DO THAT WHEN YOU COULD JUST FIX THE SMALL AMOUNT OF REMAINING BUGS IN VER 2 AND HAVE A OUTSTANDING OS..
BECAUSE THEIR... STUPID...
LINUX LITE HAS SOME SERIOUS USER FEATURE FLAWS.. IVE STARTED POINTING THEM OUT HERE... YOU CANT HAVE USER FEATURE FLAWS...WHEN ALMOST EVERY OTHER LINUX GETS THEM RIGHT... IT MAKES YOU LOOK STUPID AND FRUSTRATES THE END USER..
I MEAN.. CANT USE SEARCH RESULTS.. REALLY....OMG.. DUMB AS DIRT.. CANT ADJUST VOLUME WITH THE AUDIO MIXER.. WHICH BY THE WAY IS A TRAIN WRECK OF DESIGN.. IT FRIGGIN SUCKS !!!!!!!!!!! WHOEVER DESIGNED THAT NEEDS TO BE STAKED OUT TO AN ANT BED...
STOP TRYING TO MAKE THINGS THAT ARE SIMPLE, BROKEN UN USEABLE AND OVERLY COMPLICATED... THATS STUPID...
JUST PUT THE STD ALSA MIXER OR WHATEVER YOU USING BACK ...GET RID OF THAT CRAP MIXER...
FIX THE DAM SEARCH RESULTS SO YOU CAN COPY CUT PASTE MOVE OR DELETE THEM... IT WORKS IN EVERY OTHER LINUX..
PERHAPS YOUR NOT USED TO SOMEONE COMING HERE AND KICKING YOUR ASS... WELL TOUGH.. GET YOUR HEAD OUT OF YOUR ASS AND DO THINGS RIGHT.. AND YOU WOULDNT HAVE IT...
TELL ME..HOW HARD IS IT TO USE AN OS FOR A COUPLE WEEKS BEFORE YOU PUT IT OUT...AND FIND CRAP LIKE THESE..
SEEMS PRETTY EASY TO ME...
NOW INSTEAD OF FLAMING ME..GO FIX YOUR BROKEN CRAP.. AND YOU WONT GET CRITIZED..
G'DAY
FOUND ANOTHER ONE !!!!!!!!
ON DESKTOP... TRASH HOME AND NETWORK ICONS ARE PRESENT.. IF YOU OPEN DESKTOP SETTINGS.. ICONS... THEY ARE UN CHECKED !!!!!!!!!!! THEY SHOULDNT BE THERE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
GEZZZZZZZZUS ...REALLY.... EVEN JUNK LIKE LUBUNTU GETS THAT RIGHT

Is there the ability to "search" in Linux lite?

I was unsure where to post this question - I was wondering if similar to Mac's (spot light or search light) and even Windows if there an equivalent ability to search for something by name or topic (when you've forgotten the exact title) actually "on" the computer like these other OS's allow you to do.
I have googled and also checked the forum for similar questions, but haven't found anything.

Hi there,
I'm a newbie in Linux ... I've just installed LL 4.2 UEFI 64 on a Cherry Trail Z8350 notebook and it looks great... I've done the update as directed by the Welcome Page but there but there is no sound coming from Firefox when I play Youtube videos...
I've read the instructions here
https://www.linuxliteos.com/forums/tutor...n#msg49454
but Firefox is NOT listed on my VOLUME CONTROL page under playback (all Streams)..
Could anyone help me, please?
Thanks!

Tutorial: How to play HD videos on a single-core Intel Atom netbook.

Do you have old or low-powered hardware that seems unable to play HD-quality videos ?
If the answer is yes, then don’t worry. Help is at hand with a video file manipulation application called handbrake. This tutorial is for those who, like me until recently, had never heard of or used this application.
I discovered handbrake while trying to figure out how to play HD-videos (1080p/50fps) on a single-core Intel Atom netbook (see signature), which I use mainly as a portable media player. Due to the low processing power of this machine, playing HD videos resulted in either stuttering (choppy video motion) and/or a lack of audio/video synchronisation (audio running ahead of video). To make this video play on an Atom netbook, or other old or low-powered hardware, you’ll need to set the bitrate and reduce the frames per second (fps):
First, download and install handbrake from the repository that comes with the LL package. When you’ve done this, open it from Menu (type handbrake in Menu search box).
Then, from within handbrake, load the file you want to modify, using the Source or File/Source buttons in its toolbar. Make sure you’ve indicated the desired Destination for the modified file, though by default it appears to choose the Videos directory. Next, look for the toolbar running from left to right (located half-way down the handbrake window) with the following options:
Summary/Picture/Video/AudioDefaults/AudioList/SubtitleDefaults/SubtitleList/Chapters/Tags
Click on the option Video, then:
- select option Bitrate (kbps),set this to 2500
- select option Constant Framerate, set this to 25 (PAL Film/Video)
- click on Fast Decode (not sure if this makes any difference)
- finally click Start Button to start file processing.
When you’ve finished, collect your modified video file from the Video directory and open with your media player - the playback experience should be improved. If not, you could try a lower bitrate, e.g. 1500 kbps. Processing time will depend on the type of file modification you want, e.g. a lower bitrate setting of 1500, it will take longer. With a bitrate/fps setting of 2500/25, a video with a 30 minute playback time took me around 45 minutes to process on a Dell Latitude D630. Handbrake will do all sorts of other video file modifications - I’ve only described one specific case here.
NB. Modifying video files is very CPU-intensive. Therefore, it’s highly recommended that you don’t carry this out on a low-powered machine (it may either fail or take forever) - I recommend using at least a Core-2-Duo computer - the more cores the better !
PS. around 23-24 fps is apparently the threshold framerate, at which the brain is fooled into seeing continuous motion.
Hoping this tutorial will be of use to someone.
