Please add btrfs-tools to the iso. I encountered an error while installing LL 2.2 with btrfs format selected. Installing the tools package fixed it.

Hi,
This may come in useful if you just need to quickly connect to another PC to say check some files or config.
First install package on the "Remote PC(s)" the one(s) you will "Connect TO"
Code: sudo apt-get install openssh-server

2. There is away to get it to Launch "GUI" programs as well in a separate window, not quite figured that one out yet, config stuff..!!

HI
I'm running LL 2.0 32 bit, which has Firefox 32.0.3 installed. However, it is now out of date and I'm getting warnings about the Flash Plugin being vulnerable and should be updated. Mozilla recommend installation through the repository updates but as these don't seem forthcoming, I'm wondering if it would be wise to update to Firefox 34.0.5 manually and also update the Flash Plugin manually.
I would be happy to read any views on this as Firefox is my prefered browser (Chrome's so sluggish these days).

Hello and thnx for sharing with me that great and free linux edition...!! I have the following problem with my wifi card...i can see all available wifi networks but i cant connect..any idea?(I use TL-WN8200ND wifi card)

Just wanted to give Jerry and the other forum members a BIG round of applause for all the help I've received. I've tried various Linux distros in the past with little success. If those had the same support that LL has, I probably would have stuck with Linux a long time ago. I tend to get frustrated and stressed pretty easily but when I installed 2.2 a few hours ago, I felt much less stress than normal mostly because I KNEW, if I had a problem (and I did), I'd get an answer here.
Two thumbs up to the Linux Lite "team"!

I just installed 2.2 (awesome so far) and when I set my user name, I didn't think to delete the "System-Product-Name" part. I just typed the user name I wanted. Now, the terminal knows me as "[me]-System-Product-Name". Can I change this to just "[me]" without reinstalling? I'm sure it doesn't affect anything but I have OCD so it bothers me.

Hi All,
Thought I would share this with the group, hope it's understandable.?
I have installed and tested/tried "Teamviewer" and it works really well.
I wanted something a bit "Lite"er for use around my home network.
So after some research, here's what I found and did using repo options.
1. Full Remote Desktop
First Part, On the PC(s) you want to Connect TO and control
Open a terminal Ctrl-Alt-T and type:
Code: sudo apt-get install vino
sudo apt-get install dconf-editor
You will now have 2 new programs, in the Menu
type: dconf and select dconf-editor
then
type: Desktop and select Desktop Sharing

In dconf-editor navigate to > org > gnome > desktop > remote-access and untick the [X] require-encryption,
just click on the the X at the top of the window to close it.
In Desktop Sharing Preferences set the options shown, you can set a password if you wish, then close it
Open a terminal Ctrl-Alt-T and type:
and find your IP Address, it will say something like inet addr: 192.168.1.10
Keep a note of the IP Address for the next part. You can now re-boot the PC
Second Part, On the PC you are going to Connect FROM
Open a terminal Ctrl-Alt-T and type:
Code: sudo apt-get install vinagre
You now have a new program, Remote Desktop Viewer
in the Menu
type: Remote and select Remote Desktop Viewer and then click on the Connect
You can use these settings but use your IP Address the one you noted above, then press "Connect" button

Anyone know how to install K9copy in 2.2. Development is discontinued, but still a great program. Does it need a PPA. Thanks!
BTW, LL is amazing! Best I've used. Boots to desktop in 42 seconds on my Acer I3. Great work from the author!
