Python2 out of 20.04 - Valtam - 02-23-2020 Ubuntu will not be including Python2 in 20.04 The first victim is Cherrytree, the note taking app in Lite Software. So now we need a replacement for it. Any ideas? I personally use Zim (which I read is quite similar to CT) and have never used cherrytree so not sure but, maybe Joplin? https://joplinapp.org/ Re: Python2 out of 20.04 - trinidad - 02-23-2020 Maybe: https://sites.google.com/site/mynotex/home TC Re: Python2 out of 20.04 - torreydale - 02-24-2020 I've heard of TomBoy, but I'm more familiar with Evernote and/or Google Keep. Re: Python2 out of 20.04 - Artim - 02-24-2020 I like Xournal. Re: Python2 out of 20.04 - az2020 - 02-24-2020 They're talking about cherrytree on the MX Linux forum. Apparently, it's being converted to C++ but won't be ready for some time. An MX developer said he's going to package something to buy time. Zim is being recommended as a replacement. Re: Python2 out of 20.04 - firenice03 - 02-24-2020 hmpf - I really like CherryTree... So would one be able to install Python then install CherryTree?? - Be a bit much for Lite Software but... a thought...
