A tip for folks. Hit Printscreen on your keyboard, select 'Entire screen' then save it to your home folder. Then go to imgur.com and upload it. Then use the BBCode on the right hand side and paste that code block into your post. Voilà!

Slight tweak to make open programs show as centralised icons.

Re: Post Your Desktop Screenshots! - N4RPS - 05-11-2014

Hello!

Nope, didn't see any UFOs, and the only aliens I saw were illegal ones trying to sneak in from Mexico. Holloman Air Force Base is outside Alamogordo - about 100 mi/160 km west of Roswell, which is where the UFO crashed.

However, I DID get to see Trinity Site in 1985, on the 40th anniversary of the explosion - one of the few times the area has been opened up for the public to see. We also had a lot of pilots qualifying for duty with the Thunderbirds (the Air Force air acrobatic team), so we were treated with an airshow every Wednesday at lunchtime.

We owe our knowledge of the transistor and subsequent technologies such as LSI (large scale integration, which is how microprocessors are created), fiber optics, and surface-mount technology - all of which make our modern-day electronic devices possible - to that alien spacecraft found outside Roswell in '47. These discoveries were all released to the world through Bell Labs in New Jersey - the outfit responsible for reverse-engineering the UFO, to glean new technologies from it...

yes, i believe that too,
from primitive airplanes  that could barely fly short distances few meters off ground to landing on moon, in only 70 years.
that is massive technological jump.
