Emergency mode give root password for maintenance - anon - 07-13-2017

I went to use my computer with Linux Lite on it then it gave me this error message I tried recovery mode to see if I could repair any broken packages then after doing that I thought they would have fixed it apparently not I am stumped I don't know what to do.

Did you try to do what was said on the page? What it really looks like is a hardware failure. I had a cpu go out but it gave a different error message. Try unplugging the usb device that is plugged in giving the error.

Have you tried a LL Live DVD  to see whether it is software or hardware problem?

You need an Ubuntu rescue disk, and you'll have to run fsck manually. It looks like a Windows update restart booted into Ubuntu and messed up your LL system. Make sure Windows is the first system grub boots into.

That really sucks I was trying to get away from windows but I want to play all my games why does Microsoft have to be so hostile to another operating system like Linux

I wouldn't need any other reason to switch to Linux full time having realized that important statement.
