WiFi password not working
#1
Hi I have a Dell Lattitude D620 and just installed Linux Lite 3.0 When I put in my WiFi password it seems to connect out to the modem but says credentials are wrong. They aren’t wrong, so I am stumped. Seriously, I looked and looked and typed really slowly - the password is going in right. Any idea?

Did you click on "Show password" to verify what is being typed?

Sure did. Total mystery here. So just to be clear, I shouldn't expect any other neccessary modifications or changes or anything. Should just be type it in and go, right?

What is the output in the terminal of:

Code:
inxi -N

You could also try deleting any existing entries in the Network Manager Settings, reboot, and try again.

From Terminal command

Card-l: Braodcpm Nextreme BCM5752 Gigabit Ethernet PCI Express
Driver: tg3
IF: en9s0
state: down
mac: 00:15:c5:3e:d8:c3
Card -2: Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG [Golan] Netwrk Connection
driver: iwl3945
IF: wlpl2s0
State: down
mac: 00:13:02:b0:7b:70

I did try clearing out all network connections, but same error. I confirmed the password on other devices, so it is right.

Interesting, in the Network Manager the password is in lower case. In the pop up for the password I would typing upper (and lower). It took changing the password in the network manager to make things work.

Thanks.
