my hd a4tech webcam sometimes work sometimes not

At first glance seems to be a lame power issue with the usb devices, but I need just the output of when you plugin just the webcam.

Unplug the webcam entirely.

Then run this command

sudo dmesg -C

Then plugin your webcam, and run:

dmesg

And post only that output here.


I'am sorry if I wasn't clear the first time around. But the event msgs from pluging in the device is important to figure out whats wrong. It may be the webcam is wonky and broken. Or it's just not getting the power it needs for some reason. Do you have any other usb devices pluged in that may be drawing power?
