Windows 10 with an 7 or 8(.1) key.
#6
@Jerry,

Yes, it is convoluted.  I tried this morning just to claim my licenses for Windows 10.  I'm only running Windows 7 in Virtualbox now since I use Linux Lite for my desktop and laptop.  I have a right to two Windows 10 licenses since I have two Windows 7 licenses, but the upgrade process doesn't want to play nicely in a virtual machine.  Perhaps the process is looking for actual hardware.

I'll just stick with Windows 7 in VM for now.  It's supported until 2020.  Linux will be even better, than it already is now, by then.  And perhaps the two things I still use Windows for will have Linux equivalents by then.
