Windows 10 with an 7 or 8(.1) key.

You guys are funny.

@Jerry, you're correct.  Two steps away.  One is tax software.  The other is a Linux version of the VMware vSphere desktop client.

Still haven't been able to get the Windows 10 update to work on my Windows 7 install in Virtualbox, but it did work on VMware Player for Linux.  It does run slower than Windows 7 using the same VMPlayer for Linux settings.  So I can assume on physical hardware, the official Microsoft system requirements for Windows 10 are a fantasy.

I have a person I helped last week bring his laptop from the hardware dead.  I was tentative about moving him over to Linux Lite yet because I didn't want him to forfeit his potential Windows 10 upgrade license.  From a performance perspective, I now know the upgrade won't be doing him any favors.  The hardware specs of his laptop aren't good enough...for Windows 10.  But the bigger thing is, he's a huge lover of privacy.  So I know rokytnji's jpg will be all it will take to close the deal on moving him to Linux Lite.
