yes, I tried the above & can access gparted using the live CD and it functions normally, showing me the drive partitions etc.. on the SSD.
I then rebooted, but this time turned off UEFI, just to check its not the 'UEFI bug' that you posted recently. However, even in Legacy (CSM mode), gparted is still inaccessible using either gui or terminal methods.
It might be time to do a fresh clean install, as I appear to be have a few as yet unresolved issues... :-\
