lost WIFI Network Manager
#1
My Wifi is working to my Router OK --I am connected to write this

I am not getting the Network Manager Icon on my PanelĀ  so I cannot see what other Wifi networks are available or turn-off wifi etc

Tried reinstalling the network managers in Synaptic

Did an upgrade

Tried http://www.webupd8.org/2014/04/fix-lubun...nager.html -- directed there from Ubuntu Forum
Quote:To fix the Network Manager not showing up on the panel issue, from the Lubuntu menu select Preferences > Default applications for LXSession, then click on the Autostart tab and under "Manual autostarted applications" type "nm-applet", then click the "+ Add" button on the left:

I used Session & Startup > Application Autostart > Add --in Linux-Lite 2 and Restarted
