[member=5414]firenice03[/member] Thank you very much, I was able to format the disk properly with the Something Else option. Didn't know how to set that up until now.
Prior to this I also used gparted to format the disk. And I before that I went as extreme as use "dban" to completely erase the disk (had to wait around 4 hrs to complete).
However, the installation of LL still won't boot.
I installed the same ISO on another PC we have at the office.
Hardware is as follows:
Core i5 2300
4GB Ram
1TB HDD WD
MB Gigabyte H61 (Bios set UEFI mode)
LL worked perfectly.
So, I swaped the WD HD and used my laptop's Toshiba HD to make the (offline) installation. It worked and booted perfectly on the PC, so I moved the Toshiba HD back to my laptop, and guess what ? It won't boot there, shows "No bootable device".

And the Bios DOES recognize there is a Toshiba HDD installed on the laptop, but won't boot with the LL OS.

I installled Windows back again on that Toshiba HD, and it boots normally.
At this point I just have to think there is some sort of code in the Bios that simply blocks the booting file from different OS's. This sucks and I really hate Acer for doing this.
I'll give it a couple days googling, maybe there is a guy out there who was able to install a distro on his UEFI-Windows only Laptop, but I am just about to give up.
Thank you all for your help!
