They will just be security upgrades as far as I know till 2017.
Not sure about software upgrades in 12.04 myself.

I just went ahead and did a Ubuntu 14.04 LTS 64bit Minimal Iso Icewm type of net install instead on one of my motorcycle shop
beater towers . Instead of relying on 12.04 myself.
LL 3.6,2.8
Dell XT2 > Touchscreen Laptop
Dell 755 > Desktop
Acer 150 > Desktop
