Possibly confusing wording for new users

On a previous version of LL, we had a Lite Software Center (re-branded Lubuntu SC). I took Valtam advise and did not install either the Ubuntu or Lubuntu Software Center on this install. I did not either understand or remember why the Lite Software Center no longer exists or what problems using one of the other software centers caused. Don't need them now because I knew what software I wanted with this install and could get easily now with Synaptic.

Can someone explain what happened to the Lite Software Center and what problems using another one causes?
