As you probably found when searching for fixes for your Mint boot problem there are situations in which a system will fail to boot after a seemingly successful installation.  As we only have the information that 'it won't boot' any attempt to suggest what the problem might be is just speculation.  If we could see the installation method you used and what actually happens when you try to boot it might be possible to help.
