Disk won't boot to Desktop. Reason? Full disk Smile
Decrypt disk in Mac, remove HDD and mount in LL via USB, free up space, place HDD back in Macbook, boot to Desktop, drink beer.

Second Mac I have ever worked on. Fortunately many of the cli commands are the same as they are in GNU. Had to use Photorec to recover photos etc.

Does it mean Apple laptops are usually compatible to turn to Linux, or it is variable with them ?

Man that takes me back! I haven't used a Mac in probably over 6 years! The Mac I DO have is an ancient PowerPC G4 933Mhz. Sitting in the corner collecting dust anymore Sad . Somewhere I have the receipt from 2002. $4500 USD paid. Talk about overpriced! Still have all the install discs direct from Apple, OS 9 & OS X and an Apple Diagnostic CD.
