Hi, thank you for Linux Lite that is working very well on my old Acer Aspire 1640.
I have LL 2.8 installed on a Linux 3.19.0.80 generic i686 kernel.
I have Audacity working fine for recording, if you put "pulse:Mic:0" in its input settings.
Other recorders that I tried do not work, for example the gnome-sound-recorder.
There is also a secondary issue. In the Sound Settings, the panel "Recording" is empty, without any program listed.
My best greetings to all!
Paolo

Hello All
It is known that Lite does not upgrade from 3.x to 4 and so on.
To have a better understanding on why so many distros cannot upgrade across major versions, could Lite devs or someone explain why such release upgrades are difficult or impossible?
Thx

Hi Forum. Just joined after installing the lates build of LL. After trying out over 10 flavors I opted for LL and couldn't be happier.
I'm by no means PC or Mac illirated but have been using mostly Windows for over 25 years and still do on my main PC.
So there you have it. Looking forward to learning via this venue and kudos to all who have contributed on the making of this OS.
Cheers.

| Firefox 63.0 -unable to stop HTML5 videos from auto playing in this release |

I don't really like these popup & auto playing videos so many sites like to use. In Firefox it could be stopped by going to about:config & toggling media.autoplay.enabled to false. In Mozillas latest release of Firefox (v.63.0) it's not working. Even with it toggled to false the popup's still appear & auto play in v.63.0. Anyone have a suggestion to fix this, without resorting to a 3rd party app? Thanks for any & all help.

| Update kills Thunderbird's Lightning calendar |

Crap! Just updated my Linux Lite OS and it updated Thunderbird, and now the Lightning calendar extension no longer works. That was the only thing I found that let me set up recurring events satisfactorily. Can anyone suggest something? I need to set up reminders on a monthly basis, but also on a bi-weekly basis.
