Cannot Open Help MANUAL < Solved >

Sorry, I am sure there is an easy fix here, but I have not found it (maybe because I can't get into the Help Manual ), and have not found anything searching the forum.
When I select "Help Manual" from the Menu, "Package Installer" pops up and tries to open it and says it's not a "Debian package "or something, and can't open it.
I expect at some point I opened something by using right click, open with "Package Installer" or something, but can't find a way out of this setting. I have tried looking in settings, preferred applications, etc. but no luck so far.
Any guidance would be appreciated. Thanks,
Chris

I just installed Linux Lite for my mother. She's been running Windows 7, but her system has been wrecked by malware (she's not the only one in the house who uses the machine). She was complaining about how slowly it's been running lately and about the ads, popups, etc. I decided that rather than format the drive and reinstall Windows, I would just replace it with a Linux distro. I tested a few, and Linux Lite seemed best suited for the job.
Looking great so far. Doing a dist-upgrade at the moment. She'll be getting back into town, Monday, and I'm going to surprise her with it!
Hope everyone is doing well, and thanks for the cool distro!

Have you guys considered adding an option to install the pepperflashplugin-nonfree package to go along with the Chromium Web Browser?
If Chrome/Netflix is installed it wouldn't be necessary to install separately but for those who just need Chromium it may be a nice option.
I'm testing Chromium/Pepperflash in LL2/64 and have had no problems. I have a few additional notes that could be helpful if interested.

Speeding my boot

Now I have the right desktop and language I thought I'd see if I could speed up the boot time before I handed over the laptop to my wife.
I'll remove Bluetooth and printer from the autoload as she does not use either of them.
One of the things that have come up with Google is the reprofiling of the boot. I'll paste the text below. Can someone with an understanding of Linux Lite let me know whether it is something to try. Thanks
Tony..........
Go to the terminal and type in
sudo gedit /etc/default/grub
enter your root password, and wait for a file to open up.
look for the line that says
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"
and remove the words "quiet" and "splash" ( NOTE : THIS WILL DISABLE YOUR LINUX MINT SPLASH SCREEN, it doesnt help THAT much, but in my opinion it helps a little. )
also, add the word "profile" into that space. this wiill profile your boot and make it faster everytime, ( NOTE : THE FIRST BOOT AFTERDOING THIS WILL MOST LIKELY BE SLOWER, DONT WORRY! IT IS JUST REPROFILING YOUR BOOT NOW )
So basically make that line look like this --
GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="profile"
Save and exit!
Open up a terminal again and type
Sudo update-grub2
enter root password, wait for it too update, and then restart your computer.

Hello,
Zyxware technologies Pvt Ltd.(http://www.zyxware.com) is a Free Software company which has been actively contributing to Free Software and offering commercial services around Free Software for individuals, enterprises and government organizations across India. To create and promote an awareness about Free Software and related freedoms in society, we have also organized Free Software campaigns like Freedom Walk across our home state of Kerala, Freedom Toaster, a kiosk to get a burned DVD of desired distribution of GNU / Linux, etc..
One of our offerings to FOSS community in India is a 'Request CD' program through which we send across CDs and DVDs of GNU / Linux distributions (and other FOSS software) to people across India on demand at a nominal charge. This service is especially useful for users who hail from remote locations in India and do not have access to high speed internet service and for those who have to pay a large amount of money for the data downloads when they have internet access.
We have added your distribution to our online shop www.zyxware.com/shop. The link is http://www.zyxware.com/requestcd?&distri...Linux+Lite It would be great if we could formalize our relationship by registering as a vendor on your website so that FOSS users from across India can procure the CDs/DVDs through our program. We hope for a positive response and look forward to a successful association with your esteemed organisation.
Thanking you,
Sindhu

Incorrect info about keyboard on task bar

I've had a struggle to get the keyboard on my Sony Vaio to use, and retain, certain characters such as the @ key.
It seems to be because it is a 102 key keyboard and I need English UK rather then English US.
I seem to have got it to work but when I click on the keyboard icon on the taskbar it still shows English US. Does this matter? I'd feel more comfortable if it showed English UK or at least a choice.
Thanks for any help that is coming.
Tony
