Hi,
I'm new at all this (my first time on the sight and first post). I installed Linux Lite on a netbook and I am very pleased with it. I thought I would try to install it on my old Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop. The installation went along perfectly. The display looked fine (1024x768 displayed in settings) and everything else seemed to work perfectly afterward. I decided to clean my hard drive and install Lite on it permanently. Everything seem to go smoothly until I rebooted. Rebooting went smoothly except the screen size was small (640x480). The 640 setting was the only display setup setting listed. I read where others have had this problem. I found the same exact issue loading Xubuntu, Lubutu and new Mints. I found a very old version of Mint that did displayed a full screen. I don't like Mint as well as I like Lite.
Questions: Can I find and can I load the video driver that is in bedded in the Linux Lite installation software? Do you have any suggestions? Note: Linux is very new to me.

| Whisker Menu Restore for Linux Lite 3.x |

Hi everyone,
Here is a little application that will help users reset Linux Lite 3.x series Menu.
Whisker Menu Restore will restore shortcuts, applications names and the default Whisker Menu layout in Linux Lite. In the process, it also fixes the bug where users are unable to remove multiple entries from the Whisker menu after uninstalling applications such as libreoffice, simple-scan and others. It also allow users to preserve custom preferences such as Favorites, Recently Used items, Background Opacity, Items and Category icons size, menu hierarchy, menu icon, menu title and even the menu width an height.

To install Whisker Menu Restore, from Terminal:
Code: # Add Unlockforus repository:
echo "deb https://cdn.unlockforus.com/repository/dists/xenial/ /" | sudo tee /etc/apt/sources.list.d/unlockforus-xenial.list
# And add the PGP key:
curl -s https://cdn.unlockforus.com/repository/keyFile | sudo apt-key add -
#Install Whisker Menu Restore:
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install whisker-restore-lite -y
Your feedback is appreciated
Cheers all!

| Logon screen - doesn't accept Enter key |

Hi forum.
This is just a minor thing, but so far (on other distros and windows too) I'm used to just press enter key after entering the password. But Linux Lite doesn't respond to Enter key.
I have being looking into the Light Locker Settings menu, but could not find any setting for that particular issue.
Is it possible to choose another variant of login screen in Linux Lite, or perhaps some tweak to make the Enter button to work?
Thanks in advance

| Restore Session |

I used Save Session on exit and logged out. Then I logged back in. Cannot find any way to restore the session nor anything in Help Manual.
Some threads online say this is no longer possible with 16.04. And yet there is a menu item in Lite Tweaks to 'Manage Save Session'. I opened that but already have the default option activated and didn't change anything. (enable save session for all users)
Please advise; thank you.

| Built-in SD card reader listed as a drive, but won't mount |

When I plug in an SD card (actually a micro SD card in an SD card holder) from my camera into the built-in reader on my laptop, the drive is listed (as 'Generic- xD/SDMMC/MS/Pro'), but the card can't be mounted.
If I plug it into a USB card reader then it works no problem. It I plug it into an adapter and then into my Android phone, no problem. It's also accessible on other machines running Windows - and, of course, on my camera.
Any ideas on how to fix this would be welcome.
