| Non-Live USB Installation |

Hi Folks,
I'm pretty new to Linux and know very little... I'd like to create a portable installation on a USB stick with a ability to boot to it from a variety of computers. I know a live installation would be best for this but I'd prefer to do a regular installation. Is it reasonable to expect such an installation would be widely compatible with most modern computers I might want to use (e.g., hotel business centers, etc.)? Does LL autodetect hardware and have a local driver repository so it can pull drivers in as it boots? I'm not looking for support for anything beyond a functional desktop with keyboard, mouse, basic display and (sort of important) whatever printer might be attached.
Thanks!

I have this problem twice and i don't know what the problems is.
When i startup it go to (initramfs) busybox and how can i prevent this to happen in future.
Now i only fix this by
Code: fsck -fy /dev/sda1
exec startx
but this problems keep coming after 2 or 3 days

I see no printer icon to add printers. Hardware driver search shows no printer drivers either. It is an old HP all in one. Don't have that laptop or printer with me.

I have both the Firefox and Vivaldi browsers installed.
I mostly use the Vivaldi browser.
Every time I start the Vivaldi browser, it says that
Vivaldi is not the default browser and I click the
'Set as Default' button to make it the default.
If I close Vivaldi and restart it, again it is not the
default browser. When I close Vivaldi and start
lite tweaks to set the default browser, lite tweaks
shows Vivaldi is already the default browser.
If I close Vivaldi after making it the default
browser, and then start Firefox, Firefox's
settings shows that Firefox is the default browser.
This does not happen in another pc using
Linux Mint 18.1 xfce, so there must be something
in Linux Lite that is causing the default browser
to revert back to Firefox after closing Vivaldi.
Anyone have any idea ?

Booted up Windows 10 last night to watch a movie on Netflix.
10 minutes into the film.....BSOD......Crashed.
Booted into Linuxlite 3.4 beta and enjoyed the rest of the movie.
Is Windows to remain a viable Operating System.....?.

Image I've attached shows my four computers and how I managed to share one keyboard and mouse with a 4 in 1 USB switch. This 4 in one switch is available at Monoprice, Amazon, and other places. Should be fairly easy to find.

Very new. Hope this is in the right place. Could not find the same problem elsewhere in forum. I have checked many times that I am putting password in correct and even copied and pasted. It says unsuccessful. What am I missing? Thought I would try resetting the password as per manual but I get two letters into my username and it types out a bunch before I can even finish. Password works eslewhere anyway. Completely new to linux. Thank you for any help.

I am hoping this is going to post in the right place. Not am I completely new to linux but new to forums. Not happy with how big Windows is getting and had a jammed up old little Sony Vaio that wasn't moving. I want to switch my main one too if this will work for me. Tried Puppy but couldn't install ExpressVPN which I am already paying for. Lite looks really good. I guess I will bring up my problem in the correct place once I work out where that is. Thanks for having me on board. Almost there I think.
