| How to prevent a specific device auto-mounting? |

I have a battery operated pocket modem model ZTE MF910.
It is branded Telstra (an Australian telco, also Aussie for “expensive telco”).
It has a partition containing some read-only Telstra files.
I am not using Telstra with this device, so I definitely do not need the files, but they refuse to be deleted.
Using Linux Lite 3.8 the partition constantly auto-mounts with this address: /media/linuxlite/Telstra Wi-Fi/
Sometimes not for ten minutes, but frequently every few seconds (23 times while typing this message!).
There appears to be no pattern, although it does seem to happen more often when I start shouting abuse at the computer!
How do I stop this? Please?
New-ish to Linux, so step-by-step instructions would be appreciated.
Many thanks
BDH

Hi all. I'm new to the forms and fairly new to using Linux. I have Lite installed on an older laptop, running Nvidia graphics and I get a bad/unusable flicker when I open graphic intense applications (ie game), or even certain browsers (Vivaldi).. In any browser, google maps will also trigger this flicker.
I've tried the workarounds I've seen such as using CompizConfig's workaround "Force full screen redraws (buffer swap) on repaint" but no luck..
I've tried all three of the drivers shown in the screenshot but same issue.

| Possible trojan in updating in VirtualBox |

I have VirtualBox and did updates yesterday and my Avast anti-virus detected a possible trojan (ELF:Agent-RA) in the Adobe Flash Player-plugin update and stopped the updates. Just want to check if this is a known detection and if not this might be something to be careful about installing.

does LL build or re-build some files while online? the reason i ask is why this is in Off-Topic. when i run BB as admin sometimes it will delete/erase 258m of info from APT. the other day i ran BB as admin twice in a row and saw the 258m was done both times. it doesn't do this all the time.
i know BB has forums also, i'm going thru them to see if anyone else has run into this.

Hi forum.
First off - I love this distro, and using it in everyday use on my laptop.
So I'm also active in other forums - not neccesary using same username - where some forums is mostly for discussing hardware. So - because of this, I pretty often stumbles over forum threads where OP obviously have some windows specific issue. Eg. they ask if it's neccesary to reinstall OS, and thread starte never specify what OS he ment and get some answer regarding Windows (this is just one of many examples).
In that I tend to answer - but I also follows up telling that wouldn't be an issue if the OS = Linux (or similar, depending of OP's question and the information he share to that forum).
I kind of start wondering - does it help (make more people looking to Linux world) or does such additional comments probably irritates forum people? What do you think?
May I be not-so-nice when people want help with their windows - and I ending up telling them it wouldn't be an issue if they was using Linux?
May the win-only-guys just think of me as a pain-in-the-ass dude that just think he is so much better, but isn't ?
On the other hand - I can never really know what the thread starter want to do (make some interrest of Linux or not). Sometimes thread starter obvious isn't capable to solve computer issues at all, no matter what OS he uses and he will obviously never acually install any OS for himself, so I get that and normally won't try to answer those when it's obvious that the only thing that really help is to reinstall everything (or as a nice guy, I just advice them to go to a computer workshop and pay for any repair job).
